Last spring, I became a storyteller for the Ocean Pines Veterans Memorial

In the spring, 5th graders from various schools in Worcester County, MD, take a field trip to the memorial to learn about our Military Veterans and what the memorial stands for. It is an enlightening experience not only for the students but for me to see how interested they are.

The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum WWII Days Air Show

I have attended this show as a spectator on and off since its inception 34 years ago. The last 2 years, I have been a vendor and I have sold over 100 books here. It is the best WWII show of its kind by far.

Hundreds of people, from kids to 100-year-old WWII veterans, come by my table to learn about my father's story. I enjoy the veterans' stories as much as they enjoy mine. I have made many friends doing this show, and I hope to be here as long as they put it on.

A successful speaking engagement at the Parke at Ocean Pines Community Center

On Friday, November 14, 2025, I was invited to be the guest speaker at their monthly get-together. Over fifty residents attended, including a number of veterans from the community. After speaking for about 20 minutes, I fielded some great questions and spent time talking to the veterans who shared their stories with me.
